So, I was coming out of the 86th St 4/5/6 subway station Sunday night and saw this door. And we’ve all seen some shady businesses (barbers, news stands, drug stores) by the stairwells in subway stations. But this? A locked, dirty door with a sign reading “Passport Photos Made Here”? It’s not even really about the photos made there. I’m sure they’re perfectly acceptable passport pics. It’s about what else gets “made” there, like deals for your freshly-harvested organs to be sold on the black market. You have got to be pretty desperate for a passport photo to walk in there and chance being sold into Eastern European sex slavery just for a 2 x 2 headshot you’ll hate anyway.
